About this item
The Host Engineering ECOM family gives DirectLOGIC DL405 PLCs a direct Ethernet connection. The module drops into any I/O slot of a local DL405 base and handles PLC programming, HMI links, peer-to-peer PLC messaging and network data reporting — simultaneously, rather than being locked to a single role. The H4-ECOM100 runs at 10/100 Mbps over an RJ-45 port and adds Modbus TCP client/server operation, DHCP and browser-based setup; the earlier H4-ECOM is the original 10Base-T module it directly replaces. Both are configured with the NetEdit3 utility and support DirectSOFT programming over the network.
This listing covers Host H4-ECOM100 and H4-ECOM Ethernet communications modules as new units. With the DL405 now a legacy series and the original H4-ECOM discontinued since 2011, clean spares like these are a practical way to keep an installed DL405 system on the network — or to bring Modbus TCP connectivity to a rack that never had it.
