This Emerson module expands a DeltaV SIS smart switch for the Local Safety Network - the dedicated Ethernet layer that links CHARMs Smart Logic Solvers and SZ controllers in DeltaV SIS, certified for use in SIL 3 applications. The RM100-EM8SFP expansion module adds eight SFP slots to the RM100 (SS6048-series) rack-mount base switch, accepting any combination of Emerson VE6050-series 100 Mb fiber transceivers.
