New Eaton C441K Programmable Logic Controller DeviceNet Communication Module I/O

The Eaton C441K is a DeviceNet communication module for the C441 Motor Insight overload and monitoring relay. It mounts directly to the C441, adding DeviceNet communications plus local I/O on a single network node. It also serves as a drop-in replacement path for legacy Advantage starters with the WPONIDNA module and IT. starters with the DSNAP module.

The module provides four digital inputs rated 120 Vac and two relay outputs. Inputs are IEC 61131-2 Type 1 digital with an 80–140 Vac operating range at 50/60 Hz, 79–140 Vac on-state voltage and 15 mA maximum on-state current. The DeviceNet MAC ID is set with DIP switches 1–6 and the baud rate with the B0/B1 configuration switches; 125 k is the default, with 250 k and 500 k selectable. Preloaded I/O assemblies match those used by the Advantage and IT. starters, so an existing scanner program does not need to be rewritten. Module power is 24 Vdc nominal (18–30 Vdc) drawing approximately 30 mA.

The module is rated for -40 °C to 55 °C operation, 5–95% non-condensing humidity and Pollution Degree 3, with IP20 ingress protection and coated circuit boards. Agency listings are cULus to UL 508, CSA C22.2 No. 14 and CE. The DeviceNet connection is a 5-position screw-terminal connector.
