Fujikura FSM-18S Arc Fusion Splicer

The Fujikura FSM-18S is a fixed V-groove, single-fiber arc fusion splicer built for field crews who need dependable splices without the cost of a core-alignment machine. It handles standard single-mode (G.652/G.657), multimode (G.651), dispersion-shifted (G.653) and non-zero dispersion-shifted (G.655) fibers, with typical splice loss of 0.05 dB on single-mode and a splice cycle of around 11 seconds in AUTO mode. Automatic arc calibration, an auto-start tube heater and user-selectable fiber clamping (sheath clamp or fiber holders) keep throughput high, while the shock-, dust- and moisture-resistant chassis and 15 m/s wind rating make it a practical choice for FTTx, LAN and outside-plant splicing.

This listing is for a genuine Japan-built Fujikura FSM-18S splicer, recently serviced before sale. The dual-camera imaging system feeds a 4.1-inch TFT color monitor with 300X single-axis magnification, and at 2.1 kg with its battery and AC adapter the unit stays easy to carry between jobs. It ships with its shoulder strap and hard carrying case, as photographed.
