The Emerson DeltaV FP20-6TX2MM is a Layer 2 managed "smart" Fast Ethernet switch from the DeltaV VE6041 series, built for the control network of Emerson's DeltaV distributed control system (DCS). It provides eight ports in total: six RJ45 10/100BASE-TX copper ports plus two SC 100BASE-FX multimode-fiber uplink ports, with the fiber links reaching up to 5 km over 50/125 µm cable (4 km over 62.5/125 µm) at 1300 nm. A fan-less, store-and-forward design in a DIN-rail housing, it runs on 24 V DC (18-30 V), draws 321 mA (26.3 BTU/h), and is rated 0 to 60 °C for standard-specification service (IP20, G2 harsh-area). As a DeltaV Smart Switch it is discovered and commissioned automatically by the DeltaV Network Device Command Center, needs no configuration to switch traffic, and reports network alerts and diagnostics directly to DeltaV workstations; access is via serial, view-only web, and view-only SNMPv3, with DeltaV auto port lockdown to secure unused ports. It is typically used to link DeltaV controllers, I/O (CIOC/WIOC), and workstations, and to extend network segments over multimode fiber between cabinets or field-mounted enclosures.

This listing is the standard-specification variant — part number 12P4452X052 (Emerson KJ1611X1-BE1): the non-conformal-coated, 0-60 °C model, distinct from the extended-temperature FP20-6TX2MM-ES. New units ship with the plug-in power terminal block; the serial setup cable, needed only to enable auto port lockdown, is a separate item and is not typically included.
