The Cisco Meraki MS390-48UX2 is the 48-port 5GbE model of the MS390 stackable access-switch series: 48 100M/1G/2.5G/5G multigigabit UPoE copper downlinks, plus a modular uplink slot that takes a 2×40G QSFP+ or an 8×10G SFP+ module. It moves 640 Gbps of switching capacity at a 476.19 Mpps forwarding rate, handles Layer 3 in hardware (OSPF routing, DHCP server/relay), holds up to 32,000 MAC addresses, and stacks up to eight units over 480 Gbps of dedicated physical stacking. Every access port delivers UPoE up to 60W and supports IEEE 802.3bt (Type 3), drawing on a 645W PoE budget with the standard power supply that scales to 1,745W when a second supply is fitted — enough to drive high-density Wi-Fi 6 access points, IP phones, cameras and other PoE endpoints from a single 1RU chassis.
The MS390 line is administered entirely from the Cisco Meraki cloud dashboard and requires an active Meraki enterprise license and dashboard account to operate; uplink modules, optics and licensing are separate components.
