Radiodetection RD8000 PXL Cable and Pipe Locator Wand w/ TX10 Transmitter

The Radiodetection RD8000 PXL is the mainstream precision cable and pipe locator of the RD8000 range, aimed at utility contractors and survey crews who need dependable everyday tracing; the PDL variant layered Current Direction and fault-find on top of the same platform. It is built around Radiodetection's Centros digital signal engine with a broad set of active, passive and sonde frequencies, Peak, Null and combined Peak/Null antenna modes, a Compass line-direction indicator, StrikeAlert shallow-cable warning and TruDepth, which shows a depth figure only when the wand is properly aligned over the line. Radiodetection has since discontinued the RD8000 range, but the platform, approved for use on the UK's Network Rail infrastructure, remains a familiar workhorse on job sites.

This listing includes the RD8000 PXL locator wand together with a Tx-10 transmitter, the highest-powered unit in the Tx family at up to 10 watts. The Tx-10 applies its trace signal by direct connection, signal clamp or induction across a 200 Hz to 200 kHz range, can deliver up to 90 V into high-impedance lines, and includes a multimeter function that reads output voltage, line voltage, current, impedance and power. On the locator side, up to 1,000 stored locate records can be exported for reporting through the SurveyCERT workflow, and the wand's display screen shows some cosmetic scratches, as pictured.
