The Radiodetection RD8200 is a multifunction precision cable and pipe locator built for utility crews, surveyors and damage-prevention contractors who trace buried services through congested, electrically noisy ground. It runs 21 active locate frequencies from ELF to 200 kHz plus up to five custom frequencies, five locate modes including Peak+ and Guidance, and passive Power, Radio, CPS and CATV detection. Power Filters single out individual mains harmonics near substations, 40 dB Dynamic Overload Protection keeps readings stable around high-voltage plant, and TruDepth reports depth and current only when the locator is correctly oriented over the target. The IP65-rated, UK-built wand weighs 1.9 kg, stores up to 1,000 survey measurements and keeps a 4 GB usage log.

The Tx-10 carries Current Direction and fault-find signal modes as standard, so the locator's CD arrows can confirm you are on the target line among parallel utilities, and an optional A-Frame accessory adds sheath-fault pinpointing to around 10 cm.
