The ProSoft Technology MVI69-MNET is an in-chassis Modbus TCP/IP communication module for Rockwell Automation CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers. Occupying a single 1769 backplane slot, it lets the processor exchange data directly with Modbus TCP/IP devices — Modicon processors, HMI and SCADA software, and the broad range of field equipment that speaks the protocol — without an external gateway. A 5,000-register internal database moves data between the backplane and the network over a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port, with the client driver supporting up to 100 commands and the server side accepting up to five MBAP connections plus five encapsulated Modbus RTU/ASCII connections.
