NetScout nPoint 2000 Network Monitor – Active Testing from Anywhere

The NETSCOUT nPoint 2000 is a palm-sized hardware sensor for the nGeniusPULSE platform, built to run active (synthetic) tests around the clock from wherever it's plugged in. Dropped into a branch office, warehouse, server closet, or another hard-to-staff site, it exercises web applications, network performance, and VoIP calls the way a real user would and reports the results to a central nGeniusPULSE Server — so IT teams see outages and slowdowns before users report them, even off-hours. It's a natural fit for enterprises running, or building out, NETSCOUT's nGeniusPULSE and nGeniusONE service-assurance stack.

This listing is for a new, factory-sealed nPoint 2000 (MPN PULSE 2000). The unit tests over a wired Cat 5e Ethernet link with a 1 Gbps interface and draws power straight from the cable via PoE; NETSCOUT's documentation notes that a simple PoE injector will do where switch power isn't available, and the spec sheet also lists 2x AA alkaline batteries. At about 4.4 inches tall and a quarter of a pound, it deploys — and stays — in places a laptop or test cart can't.
