Buying refurbished: how to judge a seller

The secondary market saves enterprises serious money — when the seller is legitimate. Whoever you buy from (including us), check for these five things:

• A real testing story. “Fully tested” means nothing without a description of what was tested and how.
• Photos of the actual unit, not stock renders.
• A written warranty with plain terms — what is covered, for how long, and what happens when something fails.
• Verifiable history: feedback scores, years trading, and units sold that you can check yourself.
• Honest condition grading that distinguishes sealed, open-box, refurbished and used — and says so on every listing.
